Cleaning Information
Pitta Patta shoes are made from soft, natural materials. How they’re cared for is important for how they look, feel, and wear over time.
Everyday care
For light cleaning, wipe the shoes with a damp cloth or wet wipe. If washing is needed, hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent. Avoid bleach, ammonia, or solvent-based products.
Shape the shoes while damp and allow them to dry out of direct sunlight. They may feel slightly stiff at first after washing but will soften again with wear.
Material-specific care
Suede
Use a reputable suede cleaner.
Fabric slippers
Fabric slippers can be washed with like colours in cold water on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Dry out of direct sunlight and shape while damp. Once dry, brush up the nap on the sole using a stiff bristle brush, such as a nail brush.
Sole maintenance
Over time, debris can work its way between the fibres of the sole. This can cause the leather to compact and feel slippery.
To restore the surface, use a hard bristle brush (plastic bristles only, not metal) with cold water and a small amount of dish soap. Gently scrub the sole until the smoothness is reduced, then allow the shoes to dry away from direct sunlight. This can be done from time to time as part of regular care.
Wear and use
The shoes are designed for comfort and flexibility, using soft materials suited to early movement. Abrasive surfaces, crawling, outdoor wear, water, and use on plastic push scooters may affect the appearance and lifespan of the shoes.
Decorations and colour finishes may also be affected by frequent use. This is not considered a manufacturing defect.
